In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene and with Hurricane Milton approaching, our community faces unprecedented challenges. While many rely on family and established networks during crises, former foster youth are uniquely vulnerable. They must rebuild their lives and prepare for another storm without the support of parents, extended family, or a childhood home to return to.
The young adults we serve are grappling with lost wages from Helene while simultaneously preparing for Milton's impact. This double burden highlights the urgent need for community and organizational support to ensure these individuals aren't overlooked in ongoing recovery efforts and storm preparations.
We urge those who can to help us support former foster youth as our community recovers from Helene and braces for Milton. Your assistance is crucial in ensuring no one is left behind during these back-to-back disasters.
Making sure no one in our community is left behind.
