The holidays can be joyful, but for many young adults who have experienced foster care, they can also be a reminder of what’s missing. Through our annual Home for the Holidays initiative, Ready for Life works to change that narrative by creating a space where young adults and their children can slow down, feel supported, and experience the warmth of the season together.
This year, Home for the Holidays served 95 young adults and 86 children, providing thoughtfully selected gifts for young adults and young parents and their children, along with activities, family meals, and meaningful time to connect and celebrate.
For families who are often solely focused on stability, these moments matter. Home for the Holidays isn’t just about what’s under the tree; it’s about creating family traditions, strengthening family bonds, and reminding every young adult and child that they belong and they matter.
This impact was only possible because of an incredible community of partners, volunteers, and supporters who gave generously of their time, resources, and hearts!
We are so grateful to our partners:
