Letting Former Foster Care Youth Know They Belong

This powerful insight inspired Ready for Life’s Home for the Holidays Family Tradition. When young adults age out of the foster care system, they face the challenges of adulthood completely alone. While this transition is difficult even with family support, those served by Ready for Life typically have no one by their side.

That’s where Ready for Life comes in, and we need your help.

This year, “The Gift of Choice” means more than presents. Young adults ages 18+ receive stockings filled with gift cards and personalized gifts that say, “You belong.” Young parents who once felt this aloneness themselves come to our skill center on December 14th & 15th to select gifts for their children, creating the family traditions they never had. With our caring volunteers, they wrap their own gifts, building memories alongside presents, and showing their children what it means to be chosen, celebrated, and loved.

With over one hundred young adults and little ones to serve, Ready for Life can only make this program successful with your support.
